Read this before using Protocol

Protocol is provided by Artful Intelligence, LLC as a recordkeeping, scheduling, inventory, visualization, and arithmetic tool. It is not a healthcare provider, pharmacy, drug manufacturer, medical practice, emergency service, or substitute for professional judgment.

Nothing in Protocol creates a clinician-patient, pharmacist-patient, fiduciary, or other professional relationship. Nothing in Protocol is medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing guidance, dosing direction, or a representation that any substance or use is safe, lawful, appropriate, effective, sterile, authentic, or medically indicated.

Calculations, defaults, and automation

Protocol may perform arithmetic using values you enter or select, including concentration, volume, schedule, inventory, reconstitution, and administration-unit conversions. It may also prefill editable values, repeat prior values, mark inventory events, or suggest a logging location according to a selected rotation rule. These are user-controlled workflow conveniences—not individualized instructions or recommendations.

Every result depends on the completeness and accuracy of your inputs, units, assumptions, formulas, product characteristics, device calibration, and configuration. A mathematically correct result can still be medically inappropriate or unsafe. Protocol does not independently verify prescriptions, labeling, identity, purity, potency, concentration, sterility, interactions, contraindications, allergies, storage conditions, expiration, route, administration technique, or patient-specific factors.

• Treat every displayed value, default, conversion, schedule, notification, inventory state, and suggested logging location as unverified.
• Before preparing, measuring, reconstituting, administering, changing, or recording anything, independently compare all inputs and outputs with the current prescription, manufacturer labeling, calibrated device markings, and instructions from a licensed prescriber or pharmacist.
• Do not rely on Protocol as the sole basis for any health, medication, preparation, or administration decision.
• If anything is missing, inconsistent, unexpected, or unclear, stop and contact a licensed healthcare professional or pharmacist before acting.

Products and lawful use

You are solely responsible for confirming that every product you possess or reference is lawfully obtained, authentic, properly labeled, prescribed when required, stored correctly, and used only as directed by an authorized professional and applicable law.

Do not use Protocol to facilitate the possession, preparation, distribution, or use of counterfeit, adulterated, mislabeled, unapproved, unlawfully obtained, or non-prescribed products. Protocol's inclusion of a name, category, unit, or editable entry does not endorse or validate that item or any use of it.

Emergencies and adverse events

Protocol does not monitor you, guarantee reminders, detect emergencies, or contact emergency services. Notifications may be delayed, suppressed, or missed because of device settings, operating-system behavior, connectivity, battery state, app state, or other causes.

If you believe you may be experiencing an emergency, overdose, serious reaction, contamination, dosing error, or other urgent problem, stop using the app and contact local emergency services, Poison Control in the United States at 1-800-222-1222, or an appropriate licensed professional immediately. Do not wait for a response from Protocol support.

No regulatory representation

Protocol is not represented as cleared, approved, authorized, or certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or another medical-device regulator. Availability through an app marketplace does not constitute medical or regulatory approval.

You must not use Protocol in a manner that requires a regulatory authorization, professional license, or institutional approval that you or Artful Intelligence, LLC do not have.

Your responsibility and assumption of risk

You control the data entered into Protocol and every real-world action taken after viewing it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you accept the risks associated with relying on inaccurate inputs, misunderstood units, stale information, missed notifications, device or software failure, and use outside Protocol's stated purpose.

This allocation of responsibility does not waive rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be waived, including any liability that applicable law does not permit a provider to exclude. The Terms of Use contain additional warranty and liability provisions.
